Question from NigelBB on Aug 26 at 6:24 AM I am having problems getting SAP search string to work for electronic bank statement. Basically, I want to search for a word\string for a defined external transaction (eg "TRF to") and change the posting rule if it finds it.
My problem is that our bank use the same external transaction code for many different bank statement postings; the only identifier being the text string included in the bank statement.
I have tried using search string definition and defining the search string use (and simulating document number search using strings successfully picks up the string), but when tested, the posting rule is maintained as defined in the global settings, rather than changed.
Any help would be appreciated - has anyone found that this works?
