Quick question.
Are you going to Order 3 months on one line item and then the other 3 months on the other line item in the PO?
If you are going to do that then for item 10- do as per normal.
BUT for item 20- (the Other 3 months supply, change the sloc in the po to the ''Vendor" sloc, and in item details, delivery tab select the stock type quality inspection) This will upon GRV post the material to the "Vendor"sloc but in QI stock type.

The available space for a critical purchased item is being reduced from the current 6 months' supply to 3 months' supply. The other 3 months will be purchased but held at the vendor. The challenge is there will be times we will not be able to execute the quality inspection prior to receipt at the plant. My initial thought for the process was to execute a receipt with mvt 101 (and move the material to a SLOC defined as the vendors location), but could not find a mvt type to move material in quality inspection from 1 sloc to another sloc (like mvt 311, but for material in qi). Any thoughts would be appreciated.
