You cannot change the account from balance sheet to P&L or from P&L to balance sheet once there have been postings. If you want retained earnings to change, because you posted the offset entry in 2013, you will need to reopen 2013 and let the account close out to retained earnings as of end of 2013.

Subject: Balance Sheet Account Ticked As P&l Account in Chart of Account Segment of Gl Account

A balance sheet account was wrongly ticked as p&l account in the chart of account segment of a gl account creation in 2013. Now, I created another balance sheet account and transferred the balance in this account into it and the p& l balance is zero in 2013 and I blocked the p&l account in chart of account and in company code. I did a carry forward balance again with the hope that total retained earnings in 2014 will change but it is still same figure.
Now that the p&l account balance is zero, I tried change it to balance account in FS00 and I couldn't save and the system says posting has been made to the account.

Anyone with this experience should please help. It is urgent.
Thanks in advance.
