So far we used only a few qualitive inspection characteristics. We are now asked to use quantitive inspection characteristics during the production process. The characteristics are almost similar, but we have more than 270,000 different desired results [depend on the material and operation].
We know that you can assign characteristics to a routing operation, and it will affect the inspection lot during a production order release.
My question is whether it has any affect that we don't know?
Does OCM recognize changes made in the characteristics?
What is the difference between assigning a characteristic to an operation and assigning it to an inspection plan?
