In oracle you have to *1.Copy latest backup from DEV* Then *2.Copy to QUA* 3.#alter database backup controlfile to trace restlog: *4.Copy Control file from DEV* 5.And delete all the lines above startup nomount 6.Rename " reuse " with " SET " and Source id with Target id in your case " QUA" as shown ( in entire document ) 7. Delete the lines below : (CHARACTER SET UTF8 ; ) 8. Delete the old control file in QUA9. *9.then copy Cntl.sql in QUA (/oracle)* and change permission10. *then * *login * *su - QUAadm * *stopsap r3* *su - oraQUA* *10.brrestore -b (filename) -m full* *11.* Complete restore Su - oraQUA# #sqlplus "/ as sysdba" #@/oracle/Cntl.sql *#recover database until cancel using backup controlfile;* *12.* Revert the specific log file to the original name : And restart the recovery like this : Press enter and continue. After applying rest of the logs it will give following promt : press enter until you will reach last file . Give " Cancel " and exit. 13. Shutdown the DB and restart 14. then start DB #alter database open resetlogs 15.
