Create chart of account with Transction code: OB13 and assign company code (i.e.legal entities) to chart of account with Transaction code: OB62.
To create GL account Master Data, you can create Centrally (i.e. in a single screen - COA level and Company Code level), only COA level and only Company Code level.

Is it common practice for a large corporation to create a COA template so that every new company setup will have the same basic set of GL accounts (instead of assigning the entire global COA to a new company?)
