you should also look at any logs in your installation directory. you might find more useful info there.
Also, I would re-download the installation package... just in case the one you have is faulty.

I have some problem during dbua process (10.1.2.4.0 to 11.2.1.4 ) in linux environment, when I am starting ./dbua.sap.sh the getting the error "Database Upgrade Assistant finished with return code -1" don't go onwards process.
