Assume an IT 2006 is being generated by time eval txn or PT_QTA00 with a validity period say 01.01.2013 to 31.12.2013 with an entitlement say 50hrs. If there is already an IT 2006 with a validity period say 01.01.2012 to 31.12.9999 with balance say 40hrs, then the generated entl is added to the existing record with a total balance of 90hrs. This is how the QUOTA ion works.

You can also see this in PT50 txn; go to accrual tab; expand all records; this will show how the generation occurred.

Hence as seen from above IT 2006 records should not be created with an end date as above.
Delimit the existing manual record to a date prior to the start of the new generated record. Or delete it. Then rerun time eval or PT_QTA00 from the earliest date for each employee.
This should fix the problem.

Subject: Annual Leave Quota With End Date 31/12/9999

Dear All I have noticed that there are 2 or 3 case in our PRD have annual leave quota with end date 31/12/9999 ( our system is configured to create annual leave quota on yearly basis starting from hiring date. In these 2 cases the quota is being accumulated and no new record is being created each year to hold the new quota. The quota has validity for 2 years that is this 2 cases are not accepted, why does this happen? Anybody have any idea?
