We are trying to obtain a list of PO's pending as of 31.12.2013. But the
issue is that some pending PO's in 2013 have now been delivered in 2014,
system shows them as delivered as of now. Ideally these should be captured
in 2013 pending list.

ZALV sounds like it is a custom layout. Standard SAP scope of list is ALV.
What is it that you're trying to obtain as I haven't seen your original requirement email? Presume the standard selection parameters are of no use to you?
