Subject: Using Maintenance Orders for Small-Scale Engineering Project

Dear Experts - I am working on a solution design to handle small-scale engineering projects (E.g Installation of a Packing Line, Installation & commissioning of a new machine etc.) using Plant Maintenance Orders.

Idea is to create a series of Maintenance Orders (using Sub-order relationship) to define the logistics operations & materials/services required for each work-package and have the cost rolled-up in a bottoms-up manner. Budget is set only at the topmost level (as there is no business requirement to define and set budgets at lower/suborder levels)

I would like to understand from your experiences on the possible loop-holes and inefficiencies with such kind of design.
