Did you set the parameters:
ehndl = '1'
mktls = 'X'
mehrs = 'X'
mmory = '1'
stpst = 0
vrsvo = 'X'
Also, I just copied the code from one of my programs (which is actually still working), as far as I remind it's doing a recursive BOM explosion even... In case of doubt, you can just crosscheck with tables STKO, STAS and STPO (STAS is linking Header and item). or... I think it's transaction CS03 - but I cannot check right now, it's just from my memory).
