In ITSM, the requestors, processors, etc. of incident messages are business partners and maintained as such.
The documentation you refer to will provide further guidance.

Hi,
I am trying to set ITSM configuration at Solution Manager.
Checking the guide, Business Partner thought that it was not necessarily required.
A setup is finished, and when logged in to CRM_UI, it is displayed as "Your User is not assigned to a Business Partner."
Why is Business Partner needed by setup of ITSM?
Please teach to me.
