If your Mgt understands that direct DB access brings some degree of risk (they do understand, right?) - and they still want the BASIS/DBA to export one or more tables & keep a backup of that stale data for some specific use, I don't believe that SAP AG would care (it's not mucking about with their software, and it's your data). Your BASIS admin is (presumably) already licensed. If you try and write some code to update & insert that exported data back into the SAP DB, that would be an entirely different thing. Regards,
