Reply from Alex Ayers on Jan 24 at 4:40 PM Hi, SM30 is only required if someone is being lazy and doesn't want to go through due process to allow table data to be maintained in production. There are standard controls in place to stop data being updated through SM30 (table auth group, table delivery class, system lock status), however in a vanilla system there are still a few thousand tables that can be maintained and you don't really want people to have such broad access in there.

What would be the main issue to permit SM30 transaction use, even restricted to a unique vision in the production environment? It could be a security risk to the system environment? | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
