Well as per my experience, I have my Abap on AIX and Java on Windows and
both working fine. I have not faced any big problems, so I can say yes you
can go with that.

Even if possible you will have several issues.
My experience in iseries shows that the combination iseries/windows is not
the best option for SAP.
