Sorry I did not mention full details of the server, OS etc, I have HP blade server, OS Suse Linux 11 SP2. DB as Sybase, SAP ECC 6.0 EHP 6.
My users are complaining of slow SAP working, I was analyzing the system for in ST06 then I found out the difference in ST06 and TOP CPU ABC analysis. Just wanted to know why there is difference also had observed that CPU utilization "dataserver -d/sybas" is taking lot of CPU usage.
Just wanted to know is there any setting for Sybase which can minimize the CPU utilization of database.
ABC Analysis
ABC Process User name CPU Time CPU Utilisation %
A sybmdv dataserver -d/sybas 7933: 15:00 321.73 93.88
B mdvadm dw.sapMDV_DVEBMGS00 001:45 13.64 3.98

ST06
Though in ST06 CPU utilization shows 81 % idle time so if the CPU is idle for 81% then why in ABC analysis its shows 97.86 % used.
