If it's a Web-Dynpro Component and affiliated with Web-Service/Portal then one has to change the action part of affiliated event of corresponding Web-Dynpro component.
If it's normal R/3 transaction then one can control the event through User-Exit or Enhancement point. If it's a batch-job then one can control through SM64 or other SM** Transaction for periodic updates.

Inside SAP, I am trying to trigger an action, like running a web service or starting a query, when an object is modified, e.g. a customer.
is this possible and how can we do that?
