Reply from wnash7658 on Apr 17 at 9:52 PM Cindy, they are wrong. It just depends if your Client is heavy on the management reporting. I still use it, especially for PCA. He/she is just pushing for your Client to buy into a BI or Business Objects solution.
Do a review of your existing reports (Legacy) and then see if it feasible just to push into RW/RP. Note, there is just one BIG weakness is that the RW/RP is not dynamic at the columns level where BI you can use a hierarchy at the column. I have done a few static RP/RW and as long as there are not too many changes then it is fine.

I'm trying to determine how much is Report Painter and Report Writer used by other SAP customers. Our implementation partner says it is an old tool and not used much.
