What you can do is add a field in field cat of vendor number .
The filed name is ref_fieldname and ref_tablename.
The ref_fieldname will have vendor number and
The ref_tablename will have the table name from which you have entered the vendor number.
This solution worked for me.

it's an customized report, the data in the spreadsheet gets truncated only for the vendor code(so only one field),I checked the report, it is not download exclusive report, it a usual alv report, with the usual download facility, the field cat uses "slis".as I said earlier the display of vendor code in the report output is fine,?only the downloaded spreadsheet truncates the last digit. Any help is much appreciated.
