whether you are executing??Standard Report output or for custom report? for the below truncation of data ,whether the data truncated for all or is it for certain cases?in your report may be due to data type mismatch?,also to check whether the version of excel file is compatible?with the SAP GUI etc?
check the report if it is downloaded in notepad or in unconvertible format whether the data in ALV is the same
