Hi Waza,

It's an internal session generated whenever the SUBMIT command is called, so it cannot be closed by the user. I think you are referring to instead to an external session.

Subject: Kill an Internal Session Programmatically (Via Code)

Hi,

I hope someone could provide some guidance on the issue I'm having.

The problem we have an enhancement in MIRO where in a SUBMIT <prog> AND RETURN is used. But the maximum number of internal sessions is reached (9) causing an error in MIRO.

The enhancement is needed so removing it is not an option. So the question is if there's a way to kill an internal session maybe through the use of an FM? I tried removing the AND RETURN in the SUBMIT statement and although no more new internal session are created this resulted in long runtimes resulting in a dump (the SUBMIT statement is being called multiple times within the enhancement).

I tried checking SAP Notes 329835 and 34154 but it merely explains the causes but no specific solutions are provided.

Thanks in advance,
Jazz
