Hi friend,

Please check the SAP OSS Note

Note 175960 - RFSEPA02/03 not supported as of Release 4.5A.

Symptom
You discover that the reports RFSEPA02 and RFSEPA03 are no longer supported as of Release 4.5A. When starting, you receive a dialog box requesting you to create a new account with correct account control, and so on.

However, you want to use the old functions of RFSEPA02.
You must use RFSEPA02 as it is urgently recommended by SAP (for example, in Note 158254).

Note the following:
the following restrictions and notes only concern the subsequent activation of the OI management using RFSEPA02/ZFSEPA02.

The subsequent deactivation of the OI management using RFSEPA03/ZFSEPA03 can always be executed without problems.

CAUTION

1. Activated new General Ledger Accounting
This note does NOT apply to Release SAP ERP 2004 or SAP ERP 6.0 (previously SAP ERP 2005) with activated new General Ledger Accounting.

As of Release SAP ERP 2004, it is not currently possible to subsequently activate the open item management under the specified conditions with standard tools. The only option currently available is to set up a new account with open item management and to use this instead of the original account. One reason for this is that when document splitting is active for open items on the converted account, the splitting information in tables FAGL_SPLINFO or FAGL_SPLINFO_VAL would have to regenerated, which is not possible with ZFSEPA02. Another reason is that the total of the open items is reconciled with the account balance within the report, which reads the totals from the totals record table GLT0. However, according to the recommendation of SAP, the GLT0 update is usually deactivated in new General Ledger Accounting.

However, it is also possible to deactivate the open item management using report ZFSEPA03 under the prerequisites described below.

However, as of SAP ERP 6. 0 Enhancement Package 3, you have the the option of subsequent activation of open item management for G/L accounts (also with activated document splitting). However, this no longer uses the process described here, but transaction FAGL_ACTIVATE_OP. For further details, see the documentation for this transaction.

2. Migration to new General Ledger Accounting
If you are planning a migration to new General Ledger Accounting using a migration type that enables the use of document splitting, ensure that no changes are made to the management of open items in migration phase 1.
This means: The programs RFSEPA02/ZFSEPA02 (Switch On Open Item Management by Changing Master Record) and RFSEPA03/ZFSEPA03 (Switch Off Open Item Management by Changing Master Record) must not and cannot be used in migration phase 1: The risk of generating inconsistencies during the migration due to an incorrect conversion of the account master records is too high. We therefore recommend that you avoid or do not carry out actions of this type. In particular, you must not carry out these actions in migrations with document splitting under any circumstances.
