Ok apologies

1. I've a number of assets (over 100) all relating to a specific project I want to dispose of as they were created in error.
2. I want to simplify the register by creating only 3 assets relating to the particular project as this is the correct way capitalisation should have occurred.
3. The existing assets have not started depreciation as this was set to begin in the future.
4. If I dispose of the assets using ABAVN the following will occur -
5. CR Existing assets
6. DR Loss on sale of FA
7. What I'd like to be able to do is to follow this up by posting –
8. CR Loss on Sale of FA
9. DR New Asset
10. I'm wondering it possible to complete steps 8 and 9. The only way I currently know how to move costs to an asset if through settlement of an AUC.
11. I do not wish to go down this route.

Subject: Post Directly to a New Asset in SAP

I want to post directly into a new asset using a journal. I've disposed of an asset already and have a balance on loss on sale account.

I do not want togo the settlement of a AUC route as this will force me to create a new internal order distorting my reports. Doubling the actual spend.
