Reply from ScottBJ on Sep 26 at 6:08 PM Hi Bruce, I'm sure you are dancing pretty close to the solution because it isn't much different than what you are used to. In SE18 display Enhancement Spot ARC_FI_DOCUMNT. Then in the 'Enh. Spot Element Definition' tab you will see the BADI Definitions on the left column. Right Click on the FI_DOCUMENT_CHECK definition and Create a BADI Implementation. When the list of existing implementations comes up in a modal box, press the Create button to create your own Implementation. Give it a name in the customer name space and save. One you create your implementation, you can go into the methods within the interface tab and type in your code. When you are done, make sure everything is active by pressing the match stick (only visible in change mode), and check that the Runtime Behavior box on the implementation screen says that the "Implementation will be called". That should be it, good luck! Cheers! Scott Bains-Jordan

A BTE, 2920, is no longer available and had to be deactivated. The functionality is still available as a BADI. I created some BADI implementations in 4.7. Those BADIs implementations were migrated to ECC6 enhancement spots in the SAPU transaction. In 4.7, implement of a BADI was a very simple process: 1. define an implementation name, 2. enter a text description of the implementation name, 3. enter the BADI definition name So now I need to create a BADI implementation within the new Enhancement Framework. After having read the SAP online help, and a couple of SCN blogs, I thought that I could easily do this. I'm still confused about what I need to enter for the BADI creation and BADI implementation, after creating the enhancement spot. The BADI that I want to implement is "FI_DOCUMNT_CHECK", which is used to add additional checks when archiving a document. Has anyone implemented this BADI in ECC6? If so, would you be willing to make some screen prints available? Thanks, Bruce P.S. This is the SAP online documentation I referred to earlier in my posting. http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/en/94/ 9cdc40132a8531e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
