ever that was), SAP redesigned some screens so that BDC could not be used
with them. At that time, they desupported BDC. Support is a very special
word with SAP. Desupported means use at your own risk. Supported means
100% backwards compatable. BDC can never be 100% backwards compatable.
Since that time, you will never see a statement from SAP that BDC is
supported...
So at any time,SAP can now upgrade a screen and make your BDC null and void
and you can have nothing to say about it... Supported solutions, they
supposedly can't do that with...
I'm afraid that I go back to 3.0C. LOL!

I'm pretty sure SAP still supports BDCs, but they are slow, and are prone to breaking screens are changed by support packs, or even when the input data causes an unexpected screen to show up. BAPIs and direct input programs are certainly preferred.
