I guess the other thing that I would ask is does anyone know of any SmartForms that configure to email out to multiple addresses. I could debug through and learn how they did it then.

Subject: Fun With Output Types - Multiple Email Recipients

Hi All,
Very convoluted project! We need to be sending Invoices and PO's to multiple email recipients. We need to be doing this through standard output types. Our OTC functional has centered on (Our P2P functional is holding to see what we get):
http://scn.sap.com/people/ravi.dev/blog/2010/02/02 /email-output-to-multiple-recipients-functionality-in-sap

There are numerous other goggles that I looked at but none seem as appropriate as this one...
I have two problems with this.
  1. They give us no practical coding spec or code sample (typical functional)
  2. They force you to use the SoldTo to get your email list.

It just isn't at all robust! In a large company, you have multiple distribution centers serving different distribution areas and also multiple receivers serviced as above. The soldto, often as not, has no bearing on the

Has anyone else ever done something like this? If so, could you tell me what the project requirements looked like and how in general the technical manipulations were handled?

My initial thought was that the functional should create several new partner types. So there should be a new partner type of Email partner. It would just be a partner node to hang other nodes off of. It would indicate that non-standard emailing should be done. Otherwise, the email from the sold to would be used as usual. Off of it you then hang one to many MailTo partners and 0 to many MailCC partners. Thus, you have a fully configurable mailing structure. All the sales (or purchasing) agent has to do is hang the appropriate email partner off of the document and magic, you get the correct mailing partners. But I'm no functional and so I can't know if that could be done.

Your thoughts wound be very Helpful!

Neal
