Reply from VidhyaDhar on Jul 25 at 4:00 AM Hi Kapil, Would it not be a better idea to read and understand the actual requirement of the OP and then offer a solution? I am afraid that your solution is rather too generic and does not address the actual issue of the OP. While working with the vendor master record, the OP, I think, wants the end user to input data into either the street field or into the PO Box field but not both. If entry is made into both the fields, then perhaps the the system should warn / reject such entry with a suitable message. I am not too sure if your reply caters to the requirement. Please offer solutions after understanding the requirement in full. Hi Cindy, Perhaps separate account groups could be created ( account groups with suppress field status for street and required field status for PO Box and separate account groups with suppressed PO Box and Required street field in the General Data Segment ). Vendor masters could then be suitably created under the appropriate vendor account group. However, this is a painful approach which may affect all company codes operating with the same vendor. I suppose you could try an user exit as was advised by Mihaela. Regards, VidhyaDhar

For our vendors we want either the PO Box entered in the PO Box field or a street address entered in the street address field, not both. Is there a configuration that would do this? If we make street address required, then we can't just enter the address in the PO Box field and vica versa. Thank you Cindy | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
