Reply from ChrisO on Apr 4 at 9:28 AM Hi Pramod. What is your enterprise structure - i.e how is Co. Code connected to Plant, Sales Org, Storage Location, Warehouse (if you have WM), etc? If you have one Sales Org per Co. Code then you can track sales related activity via use of one of the 'Material Group 1-5' fields in Sales org 2 view of material master (MKVE-MVGR1 - 5), configured to the material group that you want. It would be best in your case to have the same listing in one of these fields as the main 'material group' list (MARA-MATKL). We use this set up. With regard to Plant-based grouping, you may be able to use 'MRP Controller' or 'Purchsing Group', if you don't use these fields in their normal manner. Even if they are used 'normally', to identify individuals who are responsible for groups of materials, they may give you some degree of grouping of material at plant level. Hopethishelps ChrisO

As usual the material group is maintained at client level. But our company code we have our own material group which is maintained in legacy and is actually different from the client data so that our own material group is referred during any kind of analysis. Is there any way of maintaining material group at plant or company code level? thanks | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
