Our company is using sales boms for the first time. We are purchasing individual parts, boxing them and selling as a single unit.
Sales boms have been created and the parts are post goods issued when the sales order is confirmed so all materials are posted to Cost of Sales -ok so far.
However, this gives an inflated profit without any overhead cost allocated to Cost of Sales! How do we reflect the overhead costs of "building" these units in Cost of Sales?
I'd appreciate your input.
