Hi,

You'll only get an order response IDoc triggered if you have implemented the appropriate ALE config. To trigger the response Idocs automatically:

1) Set up condition records for suitable access sequences - these are the combinations of values in key order fields which act as triggers for sending a response. Access sequences are defined in SD config and are usually hierarchical; SAP looks for the most specific match first, and the most generic last. Transaction NACE gives you access to the config for access sequences, procedures and condition records.

2) Set up an outbound parameter on the partner profile (txn WE20) for message type ORDRSP. The partner must match that defined on the condition records. Fill the message control tab - the codes are in the same application as that for the inbound ORDERS message - I think you need V1 for sales. There is a standard access code for order responses - this makes the link to the FM IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDRSP - use the dropdown list.

This only works if the inbound order was created in SAP. If you want to send a response when an order is not created, that's a custom development ...

Hope that helps.
Peter

Subject: How to Trigger IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDRSP

Hi,

May i know how to create idoc order response? My understanding is that order response will be automatically triggered / sent out once the sales document is saved. If I processed an IDOC using BD20 (which calls IDOC_INPUT_ORDCHG to process it) and during the processing, a user input error was found, what I discovered in debugging mode is VA02 was not called, instead an event was triggered and a workflow was created. I was requested to enhance the program so that an order response will be sent out whenever this kind of user input error occurs.

Can you please guide me on how to trigger IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDRSP in order to sent out the order response?

Thanks in advance for your help!
