I assume you are referring to Define Tolerance Groups for Employees. This contains two limits - one for the total document and one per line item posted to a customer or vendor. The GL account itself has nothing to do with the tolerance check.
If you are looking at another tolerance group, let us know which one.

I am very new to SAP FICO module, therefore please guide I would need your full guidance/support.
Does the allowable limit defined in the GL Tolerance Group pertains to each line item of the GL account or the Total balance of that particular GL account.
Also if I do not give a Group name then the rule will apply for all the GL Accounts i.e. P&L and B/S
Please can you guide asap?
