Am afraid this topic takes too many threads and goes on and on for ever.
Would it not be better to restrict your query to the actual issue you are
facing instead of generally asking for a list of general ledger accounts
requiring or otherwise open item management? Reiterating the same topic in
unclear and general terms does not really help you resolve the issue, I am
afraid.
Items requiring open item management are accounts requiring a future
settlement and these relate to balance sheet accounts and not to profit and
loss accounts and Roy has explained the concept to you pretty well. I
would suggest that you read the related posts and you will learn from them.
