Hi, Lars, I have tried to run the db2 command as in the article directly in windows cmd using db2admin, but I received the following error: C:\Documents and Settings\db2admin>db2 "select bname ,mandt from SAPSR3.usr02 where bname='SAP*'"; DB21061E Command line environment not initialized. Then I run the command :db2cmd Then I run the command as the article describes but I received the following errors also C:\Documents and Settings\db2admin>db2 "select bname ,mandt from SAPSR3.usr02 wh ere bname='SAP*'"; SQL1024N A database connection does not exist. SQLSTATE=08003 C:\Documents and Settings\db2admin>db2 "update SAPSR3.usr02 set bname="SAPSTAR" where bname='SAP*' and mandt='###'"; DB21034E The command was processed as an SQL statement because it was not a valid Command Line Processor command. During SQL processing it returned: SQL1024N A database connection does not exist. SQLSTATE=08003 Your advice please. Thanks in advance Mahmoud
