Getting the message that there is nothing to settle, is telling you only that there is nothing left trying to settle INTO the investment measure.
It does not mean there is no APC value in asset under construction ready to settle to completed asset or to another receiver.
The asset has value, viewable using AS03 or the Asset Explorer code. Therefore the record can not be deactivated. To get the value out of the AuC you might reverse the last settlement, or update the settlement rule (if using WBS elements) with a distribution rule to send the value to another object in SAP.

Asset under construction has net book value but transaction AIAB show nothing to settle.
We have asset under construction to collect asset for Purchases requisition purposes.
We started to use another asset and not we want to deactivate it.
We have no items in Tr.AIAB, but get error message when want to deactivate it in Tr.AS02

Deactivation not possible. Dep.area 01 has acquisition values
Message no. AA296
Diagnosis
You cannot deactivate, since acquisition values are still present in depreciation area 01.
Procedure
Deactivation can only be posted by a complete retirement/transfer. The deactivation date is then set automatically.
Please help what can be the reason? |
