Hi SharadKumar, Thank you, Your posting helped me. I have a follow up question and will greatly appreciate your input. I have two ledgers IFRS leading and GAAP non-leading Dep area 01 main, 90 GAAP and 92 Delta 90-01 Now, when I revalue an asset in GAAP only, the system is posting to GAAP ledger - it is also posting the delta amount to my GAAP ledger. E.g. Revalued asset (downwards) by - 100$ in GAAP only in ABSO transaction. Posted via ASKB - it created 2 docs one for dep area 90 and another for dep area 92. The end result in GAAP ledger is -200 (minus 200) on assets Reading the document on the delta depreciation area, I was expecting 0 adjustment to asset as it would be in the leading ledger IFRS. Any clarification will be highly appreciated. Thank you, SS

Therefore I have a question about Asset transactions which are made ONLY to the Depreciation Area 01 (which is alligned with the leading ledger). Is it possible to make a non-integrated transaction (eg ABZON) to the Area 01, so that ONLY the leading ledger is updated? OR will the system automatically update the non-leading ledger too and post an adjustment to write it off? This is important as our accountants say they do not want transactions which are only capitalised for Group (leading ledger), to affect the non-leading ledger. It is not clear for me from the SAP material, they state: "Depreciation area 01 is the master depreciation area in Asset Accounting. If you use parallel ledgers for parallel accounting, then the values of depreciation area 01 are posted to all ledgers. Nonetheless, you have to assign the leading ledger to depreciation area 01." I believe that all ledgers are only updated in the case of an integrated transaction (eg one that affects vendors) Any help would be much appreciated!! | | __.____._ Copyright © 2011 Toolbox.com and message author.
