Is not period modifier, it is period parameter.

Hi Guru's
1) What is the difference between Date modifier and period modifier? Which scenarios these will be used?
2) One Employee Sub Group
have total 600 employees, These employees will get salary on every month, in that 500 employees payment date is on 30th of the same month rest 100 employee payment date is 6th of subsequent month, this employee CAP,PCR all are same( salary for the month of Jan-08). In this scenario how date modifier & Period modifier will be used
