Hi Snowy, Thanks for your reply. I have processed the upgrade w/o running the scripts because of special stats created during the upgrade process (didn't want to overwrite those). Upgrade ran w/o issues and in planned time, so a new generation of all stats would not have brought an advantage. Thanks again for your help Marc

As stated in one of the notes for the upgrade I have run the following stastistic updates as preparation for the upgrade last week. a) brconnect -u / -c -f stats -t oradict_stats b) brconnect -u / -c -f stats -t system_stats c) brconnect -c -u / -f stats -t all -f collect -p 4 I am now at the end of the step "Preprocessing", next step Downtime. During the week that has past many updates were made in the SAP production system. Is it ok to rerun those 3 brconnect commands before phase downtime starts on Friday night to bring the DB stats up-to-date? The Preprocessing step already created some statistics for new tables with special scripts and I assume those will be overwritten when I rerun the brconnect commands... I am concerned of possible data-loss or long runtime during downtime phase. Please let me know how you handled this during your upgrade. Thanks in advance Marc | | __.____._ Copyright © 2011 Toolbox.com and message author. Toolbox.com 4343 N. Scottsdale Road Suite 280, Scottsdale, AZ 85251 | | MarcH. SAP Basis Enthusiast
