Needing an occasional printout doesn't affect my answer at all. If the EDI output is exclusive, and a valid condition record is found, it won't keep looking for other valid messages. That automatic output determination has nothing to do with MANUAL output - you can always add a record for RD00/print/4 in the invoice in addition to what determination came up with. If EDI isn't possible at all for an extended period (like, forever) for a given customer, then just don't have a condition record to propose it. You CAN have your cake and eat it too.

Dave, I cannot mark the EDI message as exclusive, because in a few cases we sometimes need a printout of an EDI invoice, e.g. when EDI is not possible or there is a dispute. But your reply was certainly good advice! |
