Hi

Tweaking the editing options ( by hiding the document type ) only ensures
that the document type does not appear on screen for the user. Yet, the user
can use the document type and carry out postings. If the user can post and
does not want to see the document type field on screen, then this feature
could be used. But this feature may not be helpful if the user should not be
allowed to make use of the document type for postings.

Likewise, setting a parameter ID for a document type sets the document type
as a default value in the related posting screen. This feature may not be
helpful if the user should not be allowed to make use of the document type
for postings.

If the requirement is not to allow a particular user to use a document type,
then I suppose it is a security issue and has to be taken up with the forum
concerned.

Regards

Subject: Hide Document Type Based on Company Code

Here is an alternative.
You can set the user id to default a particular document type.
Go to the posting transaction
System?User Profile?Own Data?Parameter Tab
Set Parmeter id 'BAR' to Doc Type SA for example

Additionally for Enjoy Transactions

Settings?Editing Options

Set 'Doc Type Option' to Hide Doc Type
