Hi, You need to make sure you are using the same kernel version/patch level you currently have in your Central instance. When you need to upgrade the kernel in a mixed environment you have to put the new kernel files in the Central Instance directory .../exe/uc/NTAMD64. the next time you restart your Dialog Instance the Central Instance will push those files. so If you manually update the local Kernel in your Dialog Instance it will be overwritten with the Central instance files. Hope this helps. Mohammed Jebbar BC-Skills Consulting - Morocco

Now I wanted to install Dialog Instance(DI) on NT platform (Oracle client 8.1.7). The installation went smooth and terminated successfully. When I wanted to start the DI through SAPMMC, the disp+work died one by one. Looked at the dw_* trace files, it gave me this error: *** ERROR => OCI-call 'olog' failed: rc = 1017 [dboci.c 2423] *** ERROR => CONNECT failed with sql error '1017' [dboci.c 6550] Looked at SAP note, found note 400241 & 50088, followed the steps in those notes, restart the DI, and still got the same error. Does anybody have any clue on how to solve this problem? Mizwan | | __.____._ Copyright © 2011 Toolbox.com and message author. Toolbox.com 4343 N.
