Neal,

As mentioned by some other guys, MS SQL Server Express is free and can handle
over 10M records. It can be your backend and Access could be your
frontend. Or you can try to write a VBA procedure that reads and load your
huge file in an Access table.

Obviously I should have meant BSEG.
2) The auditors don't own SQL Server. They own access. And therefore they
need access only as what they get.
