A few years ago I worked for one of the biggest companies in the World which also had a VERY complex web of royalties (most of them inter-company) and they used CO-PA to track them and then exported them to a custom program outside SAP which created credit notes and debit notes and paid them off, then re-imported the various documents into SAP and booked them. Despite the complexity two or three people were able to manage the whole shooting match worldwide.
