Hi Waza,
In principal, the application server operation in system is performed with authorization of account under which is server running in domain. Mostly SAP server runs under user "sapadm" (pair of services). This account should be member of domain admin group. Therefore, if the file is in domain in which the SAP application server is running you shouldn't have a problem with create a file by OPEN DATASET. When the file is on shared drive in different domain, the "sapadm" must have appropriate trusty to this foreign domain and authorization to create file in the drive.

Subject: Userexit - download userexit

Dear All,

Stuck with an issue.

I have a user exit in WM that has a purpose to allow for customer/client actions after Save/Commit.

I would like to download some values from an internal table to a local file or even the application server. Note, the file does not exist, it will be created and filled.

I have tried the GUI_DWONLOAD but I get a "FES 022: Error in Control Framework" error. So I copied the ABAP code into a Z program and it works. So this means that in the user exit it treats the download as a background.

Has anyone else come across this issue and how did you solve it? I am quite happy to download to the application server and later do an FTP to the local PC. But OPEN DATASET needs to have the file already created. Note, another software application reads the local PC for the file and takes the file into it's own special directory (logistics vendor).

Regards

Waza
