This is more like a network problem too. Are you able to ping to this IP or by host?
Is that R3trans -d -v returns 000?

Subject: Error Waiting for Response while click on logon button in SAP server using VMware
Dear SAP Guru,
I have installed SAP-Demo system for my development purpose using VMware.
As I am accessing form this system in my PC with configuration of Loop Back Adapter and given same IP range for Client and server machine also both IP are given reply while I have ping form server or client. But my problem when I click on Logon button one widow is open and shows the Waiting for Response I don't understand where the problem is.
I have requested kindly help me regarding this
