The error message is misleading and occurs in the recent versions. For
write-up transactions, the system checks if the asset has any cumulative
depreciation balance at the beginning of the year for the depreciation area
and issues the stated error message if no beginning balance exists. Try
adjusting the posted depreciation using unplanned depreciation.

Dear all,
When doing a write-up in ABZU, I am getting the error "Posting not possible (Asset does not manage postable areas)". In both OABN nad OABU, the 'All Values Allowed' is set.
Even in transaction OAXE, the 'Always Post' is set.
