Hi Laurie,

We used the two step process where the goods issue - Mvt Type 643 and the Goods receipt were done at two separate times, the GI updated the cost of sales and inventory in the Supplying Plant and the Goods receipt updated the Inventory levels and booked inventory in the Ordering plant, clearly showing where the inventory is after GI and after GR has been processed.
MB5T will show you the stock in transit showing the Inventory (Material value), receiving and Supplying plant as well.

My finance department is also asking me this question. Attila's description is clear but it also means that the inventory values are moved into the receiving plant when the product is not physically in that location yet. My finance department thinks that value should be "in transit" not at the receiving plant until it has actually been received. Does anyone else have this issue?
