I have a doubt in ASCP.My client requirement is that he wants to use the CTP concept and find the ATP dates based on ASCP planning output.The moment he gets an order,he
should be able to promise a date to the customer.The business strategy is "Make to Order".There is no forecast concept used here.After getting order from the customer only, the client will come to know how much to purchase and from which supplier to purchase.So there is no sourcing rule..The customer is not maintaining any ram material stock.only after getting the order,
they will start purchasing the required items...
We are getting output in ASCP plan.But while using the ATP Inquiry form, we are not getting correct dates.For whatever may be the Qty ordered, I am getting a fixed same date
as output.
I have kept the "INV:Capable to Promise= ATP/CTP based on planning output"...and i have enabled the ATP and CTP check boxes in BOM...
And in the ATP rule, i have kept the Infinite Planning Time Fence = Cumulative Manufacturing Lead Time...
Suppose, A=Finished Good
B=Sub Assembly for A,
C=Raw Material for B,...i have kept done the following setups in Item..
For A and B, Check ATP = None
ATP Components = Material and resource
Planning: MPS
and for C, Check ATP = Material and Resource,
ATP components=None...
Planning:MRP..
Plan=Manufacturing Plan..
Are these setups correct..?If not please suggest me how to go about it...
