Hi Rajesh,

I have created control file for QAS system and then I was able to start the database in MOUNT mode that mean control file creation is ok. i was getting error at the time of recovery ,normally it should not ask for recovery if we are using offline snapshot of PRD database.

Which is the correct command for recovery?
sql> RECOVER DATABASE UNTIL CANCEL OR
SQL> recover database until cancel using backup controlfile;

run this from sql prompt


sql> STARTUP MOUNT

sql> ALTER DATABASE BACKUP CONTROLFILE TO TRACE;

Path of generated fie is /oracle/<SID>/saptrace/usertrace

sql> RECOVER DATABASE UNTIL CANCEL
