run this from sql prompt


sql> STARTUP MOUNT

sql> ALTER DATABASE BACKUP CONTROLFILE TO TRACE;

Path of generated fie is /oracle/<SID>/saptrace/usertrace

sql> RECOVER DATABASE UNTIL CANCEL

Hi,

it looks like your database was not really OFFLINE when you backed it up... or your did not restore your files properly. check origlog/mirrlog date and time stamps. compare with data files date/time.

finally, I would gibe you the path to origlog* files 1 by 1 until you receive message "Media recovery complete".
