Lets say, dual stacks has been installed in server1 (SE1) and server2(SE2) in windows2008 sqlserver 2008. Local transport domain controller was configured in both server to install the support pack stacks locally from their own /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in. To set up transport domain controller in server2 to use the domain controller from server1 , the following steps need to be done from my understanding. 1. There are local users called se2adm and sapservicese2 in the serverr2. To give the full permission to the //server1/sapmnt/trans folder and subfolders to the server2 SE2ADM and sapservicese2 users ,what steps need to be done in windows 2008? Do I have to create the SE2ADM and sapservicese2 users in serverver1 locally with the same password as server2? In unix, I do the NFS server and client setup to give the permissions in the file systems from source to the client. I am not very much familiar with the windows security. 2. Do STMS in server2 and drop the existing local transport domain control 3 in Server 2 , do the stms and select "other configuration" option to define the target host Or should I do mklink /d <localdisk>:\usr\sap\trans \\SERVER1\sapmnt\trans and then do the STMS to use the server1 domain controller in the usual way? 4. In SER1 , 000 client , accept the SER2 request 5. Define the Transport route , save and distribute it. Thanks! | __.____._ Copyright © 2010 Toolbox.com and message author. Toolbox.com 4343 N.
